great product for the price,

"This helmet was easy to assemble and fit comfortably and snugly and made of good, sturdy materials. The visor and ear muffs flip up and out of the way so you don't have to take the helmet off when you're finished cutting. Best of all, it was much cheaper than a lot of other logging helmets, so it's a good buy for the nonprofessional who does a lot of chainsawing but isn't looking for the top of the line product. Note that the visor is a mesh, not clear plastic, so you might still want to wear safety glasses while using this."

"This is the only product I have ever bought from you that was not 100% satisfactory, and the only one I have returned.
The unit is not as robust as it looks in the illustration - the screen seems a bit flimsy. However, presumably it does the job. But the main problem was that, no matter how I tried, I could not fit the headband insert into the helmet shell. I tried everything, including copious amounts of WD40. It just would not fit in place.
I suppose it is jut possible that I was the victim of a packing error. But I would strongly suggest someone try to make a fit.
On the positive side, Northern Tool took the unit back and refunded my money without hesitation."

"A small price to pay for safety and protection when using a chain saw or other types of powered equipment where there is a danger of projectiles, loud noise and potentially falling objects. If you are as safety conscious as you should be every gradener and home handy man needs this combo. Only recommendation is they should include safety glasses in the package because small debris can penetrate the mesh shield."

"This face protection works quite well. The only downfall is that the adjustment is not of the ratchet type. It is still acceptable though. The saw dust shield is helpful."

"My husband had been wanting the Safety Lumberjack for sometime. He uses it to trim trees and do the weed wacking around our home and business. It sure saves him a lot of time only having to put on one piece of safety equipment, verses keeping track of safety glasses, earplugs, hat, and a face shield. Since we have 8 acres it has definitely been a useful product.

"Many of us work in loud environments with the potential for falling or flying debris. I recomend this helmet for anyone that does tree work or landscaping, as well as other hazardous work sites. Personally wearing a helmet like this one has kept me out of the hospital at least half a dozen times in the past ten years. The screen does a great job at protecting not only your eyes but 90% of your face as well, and has done a great job when chunks of wood come flying back out of the chipper. My ability to perform at work relies on this helmet system, I wont work without it. Thanks for a great product Northern!!!"
