"Over all a good kit idea but needs a little improvement. The brackets are a little too thin in the metal department and one has to go on each side of the wood. This would be better if to brackets were made into one piece and wood just slid into each end. This would take up more space in packaging but would be easier for customer. Also, more accurate cutting measurements from instructions would be awesome. Then you could really do all pre cuts for between the brackets.This would make them true no brainers and move the building process along and make it much quicker for customer."

"i bought this kit thinking it would build a high quality shed for do it yourself er was i wrong this kit took 2 times amount of time it should have taken to build this shed. The brackets are flimsy and stand them up they get all bent out of shape. Took 4 guys to assemble the shed only think it save is on making cuts but would be better money spend on buying compound miter saw and make cuts yourself."

"I constructed the 8'x14' shed - made from two kits. The instructions are fairly easy to follow even for a beginner like me. The most important advice is:- DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE ANY A-FRAME SECTION WITHOUT AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE BECAUSE IT WILL BEND! Once built the frame is very strong, I put plywood on the roof and walked on it. I like the size and it makes putting 4'x8' plywood sheets very easy to attach. I used left over wood from a remodeling project on the house. Check out my photos."

"Easy to use. It contains hardware which can be used to build roof trusses and wall frames for small storage buildings.
The product could best be used by a person with an understanding of how a small building is constructed from the ground up...BUT...with a little reading and minimum manual skills, almost anyone can use this product to good advantage, and come out with a great storage shed or small work area.
Actually, this kit is a great way to learn-as-you-build for anyone who would like to explore the possibilities of simple carpentry.
The framing kit does require that you have the physical strength to cut, handle and fasten the required 2x4 lumber and assemblies."

"I combined two kits to make a 10X14 shed at my place. The kit worked just as it was supposed to. Some tips: I used all PT 2X4 for the foundation and used PT 2X4s for floor joists along with 5/8 OSB for the floor. This added some to the cost but I ended up with a sturdy floor and it was worth it . Make sure the foundation is square using the diagonal measuring method described - it would also be worth it to do the same measurement with the frames and adjust and brace as necessary.It would have been much easier with two people to raise the frames. I used the winch on my 4 wheeler to stand the frames because they are not stiff enough for one person to do it from the side. Definitely use the stacking method referred to in the instructions to ensure that the frames are identical - it will save a great deal of trouble when you place the ridge and side supports. My shed turned out beautifully and I have the satisfaction of having done it by myself."

"If you're skilled enough to put this kit together you don't need it.
What this kit taught me is the reason everyone builds something a certain way is because that's the quickest and easiest way to do it.
the brackets are cheap stamped metal about the thickness of tin cans
the instructions were very poor"

"For all you guys out there who need a shed but don't want to pay huge amounts of money for the plastic or aluminum ones at other hardware stores, THIS is the way to go. These brackets take all the guesswork out of cuts and assembly. This is a project that can be completed in a weekend as long as you have a friend. I have built 3 of these (various sizes from small to super huge needing 6 kits). Now the cost of lumber can be steep but so far none of the ones I built came anywhere near the cost of those plastic/rubber/aluminum ones at the store. Keep in mind a few things before you buy this kit: 1) You will need lumber, 2) good quality outdoor screws, 3) adhesive (for concrete floors to keep water out),4) shingles and roofing nails, 5) heavy duty brackets for the doors, 6) a door mechanism that locks on the outside 7) good quality caulk for sealing all seams from the inside, 8) a caulking gun 9) and by all means, buy a roof vent to suck out humidity. Also you need to pay attention and run the first course of 2x4's on the ground or concrete with TREATED 2x4's. DO NOT GO CHEAP ON THAT! The salt treated 2x4's with a good sealant will keep water out if it's on concrete or it will slow rot if you build it on the ground. *You will need flooring if you put this on the grass or yard. All-in-all this bracket product is the BEST way to go if you don't want to pay a contractor or buy an over priced plastic or aluminum shed that leaks. In the end you will save a lot of $$$$ DIY. "First, the metal is thin, but it builds a extremely strong shed. You do need to be careful when manipulating the truss because it will bend like a pretzel if y are not careful, however' the size of these trusses requires a second person anyway. At least for the 10x22 design, which is the size of a one car garage. My adult son and I build the envy of the neighborhood using three bracket kits and the plans included in the kit. I found the directions very clear and the assembly pretty easy. I will use these again as now I have the confiidence to build a few more buildings.s..smaller of course!"

"I was going to build my own chicken coop, from start to finish, but it soon got overwhelming just looking at plans. I got this kit to help me with the process, and I ended up just using the plan with the kit. Directions were really easy to read, and by the end, my dog had even started helping me. It couldn't have been easier to build a chicken coop, and it saved me over $300 building it myself, in comparison to a much smaller coop made by someone else."

"I framed this greenhouse in a weekend. Construction couldn't be easier because the angles are taken care of for you. The brackets are a little thin so I needed help in holding a piece or two until I could brace it. All in all I would highly recommend this kit to anyone that is not a carpenter."

"What a piece of junk. The metal is so thin you can almost see through it. It takes more than two people to put up the studs. The directions were absolutely impossible to read. This weekend project took several weekends to complete. I have very litle carpentry skills but I can read instructions if it makes logical sense. It would have been better to purchase one of those buildings at the local warehouse stores. Never again! I should have had some idea it was a difficult project from some of the reviews. I can't believe so many people gave it 5 stars. Waste of my time and $."

"Don't show this to others until you have it erected. I purchased 3 of these kits and showed them to some friends that were to help me erect them. Due to a medical emergency, I was not able to erect my buildings as planned, but mysteriously, lol, I am down to only one kit and will have to purchase more once I am well enough to erect them. The best thing I can say about this kit right now, it saved me from buying Christmas Presents for a couple friends; and they are just as greatful; best Christmas Presents they said they ever got."

"If you need to build a shed quickly and have a miter saw, this is the kit for you. I bought two kits for the 8'x14' shed and built a wooden frame base with decking. The materials list is accurate. Copy that list and email or fax it around to several lumber yards you have locally to get the best price. The Fast Framer kit is uniform, galvanized and well packaged. I would purchase it again."

"When I recieved the kit all I had to do was read the instructions. I put three kits together to make a 10x22 shed and it works wonderful. I plan on getting more kits for gifts for my brothers. It only took 2.5 days with the help of my brother to build this shed. Just follow the instructions and you will have a great shed. The only downfall that I have with this kit is I wish that the metal was a little bit stronger. But once you tie everything together it is a strong shed."

"Used the kit to build a goose coop. With the help of my teenage son we had the whole thing built and under roof in a day. Not having to worry about miters is the only reason I purchased the kit. Only drawback is the aluminum braces are flimsy and if you try to go it alone you may end up with a pretzel. You need at least one helper to get it in place."
