"This is the only measuring tape in my tool box. Never jams and a longer length than most."

"This tape measure has stood up to a lot of abuse over a long period of time. I've had several lesser quality plastic-body tape measures that all kinked, cracked, etc. When the "new" tape measures died, I always went back to my old paint stained, scuffed up Stanley!
Highly recommended!"

Tape too brittle...

,

"I snapped the head right off of this tape measure after I reeled it in from about 15 feet.
I was a-okay with it breaking because the biggest portion of the numbers and lines were worn off from the tip all the way to the 6' mark. Very short life for a tape measure if you ask me.
I would totally avoid this tape measure and look at any of Stanley's reinforced tape measures that sport "Blade Armor Coating"."

Clean lok, functional

"Works just how it should, no problems with it at all. I do throw it around a little and I don't even see a scratch on it. being 35 feet really helps to measure some surfaces. It is a little heavy but that comes with its size, and it does seem to be manufactured well. I do like the look, the silver does make it easy to spot but keeps it looking plain and not stand out."

"Powerlock tapes are all business. Classic design. Triple riveted tang and long standout. This tape should be in every belt."

Durable tape rule

,

"The 35' Stanley Powerlock Measuring Tape has shown to be fairly durable for typical handyman use. The numbers and markings on the tape are easy enough to read and the locking mechanism has never failed or slipped. When necessary, the blade wipes clean after outdoor use. Since it has never been dropped to a hard surface from a great distance, I can't really comment on the strength of the outer shell."
