plenty of room,

"Well made case with plenty of room to store a chainsaw plus oils and ear protection and tools and rags. Plus it's flat-topped so I can store other things on top of it and pack around it much more easily than a standard chainsaw case."

Sturdy Case Husqvarna 455 24" Bar,
June 18, 2009
By Logsplitterman
from South Jersey
"This is a great value for the case you get!! Sturdy handle and hinges! Fits my Husqvarna 455 Rancher with a 24" Bar like it was made for it! Plenty of extra room for a quart of bar oil and some 2 cycle oil for tha gas, I also put 4 spare chains in my case and some tools(bar wrench, Screwdriver, channel locks, chain files). If I needed another I would buy one right now!"

Good Value, Good Product,
April 16, 2009

"I have an 18" Echo CS-400 chainsaw, and bought this case for that. The case is made of heavy-duty plastic, even the clips & hinges (which worries me a bit since I could easily see these breaking). The entire case flips open for easy access to everything and there is plenty of room for chain oil, tools, instruction manual, etc. The guide bar cover slides in and out of the case pretty easily and is more than long enough for an 18" saw.
I only have two pieces of criticism:
1. The guide bar cover was extremely difficult to fit over the guide bar at first. I actually had to let it sit out in the sun for a while to soften up the plastic, then I was able to force it in. Now that the saw has been in and out a few times, it's not as hard but still a bit of a struggle.
2. The velcro strap that holds the handle of the chainsaw in place while in the case is bolted into the plastic case and the bolt popped out immediately when I tried to pull the velcro apart to get my saw in there on the first use. I pushed it back in and now I'm just careful not to pull too hard. But that being the case, I don't believe the saw would stay in place if the case is being jarred.
Other than those two minor problems, the case is roomy and convenient and the price is right. The case doubles as a good work area to tune up the saw while on the job site too."

Chain saw case,

"Good case for the price. Enough room for extras. Only complaint is with the bar guard which is a separate piece and is somewhat hard to put back in place each time you take the saw out."

Northern Industrial Chain Saw Case,
March 16, 2009
By ChainsawPete
from Eastern NC
"This generic chainsaw case provides an excellent value-for-money solution to the need for protective carrying case for a medium-to-small chainsaw. I am currently using it for a 24-inch saw, and that is about as large as it will accomodate.
This case is not fancy, but it has been entirely servicable to carry and protect my saws.
The case offers space (with blade cover) for one saw, plus space for a quart of bar oil, a container of 2-cycle-mix oil, a scrench, extra chain, rag, etc.
Because the case is "squared off," it is easier to store and stack with other equipment than one of the "saw-shaped" cases that usually come with the saws.
I will not hesitate to get another one of these cases if I need it.

Works for Stihl MS390 w/ small mod,
March 5, 2009
By Lammur
from Burnsville, MN
"Compact but ample storage. Discreet cube box with mat black finish does not advertise contents. Construction is better than a Stihl case, especially the hinges. All plastic product but well made for the money.
The case required 15 minutes of modification to the interior compartment to fit my MS390 Stihl saw properly. The saw fit without modification but required forcing the front door aprox 1/4". I used a heat gun to push back a small portion of the interior back wall to fit the wrap around handle and a vary small spot on the interior floor to fit the base of the saw. The saw now fits perfectly. The mod is not visible and does not alter the integrity of the case. Not sure but the same could probably be done with a lighter or maybe even a hair dryer. Easy mod, no experience necessary!
Good generic case!"

"Decent quality. This is not a direct replacment for a Husqvarna power box. The Dolmar PS 6900,7300,7900 and Makita 6401 will not fit this box without modification. The power box is supposed to fit these saws but I have not verified this personaly"

Fits My Husky Great!!,
August 18, 2008
By emstemen

"Purchased this for my 18" Husky and have been very pleased. Now I can keep all of my chain saw stuff together. No more looking for a file or extra chain in the tool box. It's also great for hauling all my gear out into the woods. I would definately recommend this product to anyone looking for an easy storage solution for their chain saw."

Chain Saw Case,
August 11, 2008
By tomtom1

"I purchased this product for my Stihl chain saw. Opened up the case and installed my chain saw. When I tried to close the lid it would not close. The brake bar on the chain saw was to big. The hinge clamps on the box are plastic and won't last long."

Great Gift Idea for Any Guy,
January 15, 2008
By campinghighcountry
from Englewood, CO
"I got this for my husband for Xmas and he absolutely loved it. It has tons of room for the saw as well as oil, tools, and a spare chain. It is very well made and much better than the old cardboard box that we had before. Speaking of cardboard boxes, I would save the box it came in to make a tray for the bottom of the case for accidental spills, etc. This will be used alot and for the price you can't beat it."

Chain Saw Case,
November 12, 2007
By JeffR
from Washington CH, Ohio
"The chain saw case works well for carrying your bar oil, 2 cycle oil, goggles and only tools for your chain saw. It makes it easy to find the things you need for your chain saw and stores them all together. The only drawback I have had is the case is a little too narrow for my saw. I have a Stihl MS310 and while it still fits in the case the side is hard to latch because of the handle on the saw. Besides that I would refer this product to anyone with a smaller saw."

A Roomy Chain Saw Case,
July 9, 2007
By Voyager
from Maryland
"I'm pleased with my purchase of the Northern Industrial Tools Chain Saw Case. The boxy shape offers plenty of room for my Stihl 260 Pro and accessories - oil, gloves, ear muffs, etc. There is even room for a small fuel jug. I like the "no brand" dark grey color which does not advertise the contents. The bar cover is long enough to accomodate a much longer bar than the 18" bar currently installed on my saw. The latch allows for a small padlock, which I also use to secure the case to my pickup bed. My only recommendation would be for a better storage area for the saw owners manual. The two crossed elastic straps on the inside of the top that are provided for this purpose allow the manual to slip out of place too easily. But that is the only minor incovenience with this well-designed and highly functional case. Recommended!"
