"A nearby housing development was piling up lots of 4" branches from a clearing operation. I asked for and received permission to take them. Using this firewood sawhorse I was able to quickly make them into usable fuel and it took me through the rest of the winter."

Time and back saver

"This sawhorse is a huge WOW! I cut, split, stack, and burn about 6 cord of wood every year. When I cut a tree, I use almost the entire tree down to 1" diameter. This provides a lot of small pieces for kindling and a lot of pieces that do not need splitting. I cut all the pieces that don't need splitting into 3-4-foot lengths for moving them near the wood pile. Before owning this sawhorse, I would lay a couple logs on the ground and lay 6-8 pieces of the smaller wood across the two logs so I would not hit the ground with my saw. I would cut all the pieces at once into stove length, but this is not a very safe method due to kickbacks. Back breaking work too: cut the pieces into stove length, pick them up, put more down, etc. The saw horse will hold about 20 medium diameter pieces or up to 40 small diameter pieces at a time. One cut down through the entire stack and done! The design of the sides and the safety bar keeps the wood firmly in place during the cut. The sawhorse is higher off the ground so less bending and lifting. I load it and unload it with large handfuls at a time. It is a huge time saver, like 5 times faster!
No tools needed for assembly, just put the tall side peices into their slots. It comes apart just as easily and stores in a small space. It you forget to add the safety bar before cutting down through a stack of wood, you will soon realize why the safety bar is there.
