Side Wind?

"Although this jack is called a side wind, it would only fit on my trailer tongue with the handle facing forward making it somewhat awkward to crank. Otherwise is a solid jack."

"This jack struggles to got a 3000 lb. trailer off the back of my truck. Should have gone with a 10000 lb jack!!"

"The jack was delivered really quick. It's made strong, not made of cheap tin materal. It bolted on easy. I wish new bolts would have been included. I had to go to the hardware to get a bolt. One of the originial bolts stripped when I was removing it. Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend."

Lacking only slightly

"Works as intended but could use some sort of quick adjust in my opinion instead of cranking all the way up and down. I'd recommend those with cranking issues try a little grease. Sure helped with mine."

Disapointing! Hard to crank, handle in front, etc.

"We bought this for a horse trailer that weighs much less than the rating on this jack. The tubes and the welding is very stout. However the crank is very hard to turn. The handle can only be mounted one way. in front of the jack. It cannot be disassembled and reversed. If I can find a better jack locally I will be returning this one. I feel like I would have to pack a bottle jack to be sure I lift my trailer in an emergency. I just don't have any confidence in this jack, with a 5,000 pound rating this is a disappointment. Man of the house is a Pro diesel mechanic. . .his comments aren't suitable to print."

Model# 50001067 5K jack

"Well the one on my brand new trailer broke (2K capacity) didnt have time to screw around with a warranty replacement. I had to have a sidewind due to where my propane bottles are. I found this at the store and it is not $150 like the other 5K equivilent jacks and the best thing is that it was in stock, no waiting. I got it mounted and I have jacked up the trailer AND truck attached together lifting the truck 4-5 inches in the rear trying to set an incorrect weight distributing hitch. I have done that at least 10 times and it is still going strong. There is a grease fitting on it too I dont know if the factory does that or not, havent greased it yet. About two months of hard use and all is good. The picture is a bit deceiving one point of the triangle shaped plate points in the same direction of the handle, not a flatside of triangle.."
