" It is nice to be able to buy a MADE in the USA compressor. It runs nice and quite. We use it in the field to run our plasma cutter. It keeps much better than the import we had. With the horizontal tank it very stable in our trucks. "

Great product Marginal Workmanship

" Thus far I am very happy with the product once manufacturing errors were worked out: 3 air leaks, drive pulley installed backward, poor packaging for shipping cross country and marginal response from Quincy regarding issues. I am mostly disappointed in the response I got (or did not get) from Quincy regarding the issues I found and fixed myself. I want to buy American when I can so I hope Quincy does a little better job in training their workforce in order to be competitive with foreign competitors. "

Better than average compessor.

" Compressor is Made in USA! Extremely well built. I did not give 5 stars for the fact that it did not exceed my expectations. It is definitely a good compressor well worth the money and I would purchase if I had to do it all over again.
As for the physical characteristics, it is an extremely simple design with the basics. One air receptacle and one air regulator that reads both line and tank pressure. The impressive thing is that it runs on 120v and can pump out 7.1 psi @ 100lbs. It will run my miller plasma torch with no problems. The only down side I have encountered is after about a minute of running my die grinder, the RPMs drop, not considerably, but enough to notice it. This compressor will not support multiple users, but should attack any home or farm task adequately.
Hope this review helps.

Good Value - Great Product

" My old Husky oilless compressor was too loud, too slow and didn't make enough CFM to run my small blast cabinet so it was time for an upgrade.
I shopped every manufacturer known to man and the Quincy is what I bought.
Because of the layout in my garage getting 230v to where I needed it wasn't going to happen so a 60-80 gallon compressor was out, I preferred a portable compressor anyway. Looking around the most I could expect on a 115v outlet was 8.3CFM at 40 PSI and around 7.1 CFM at 90-100 PSI, which is pretty much what this unit produces. I wanted American made, twin cylinders and cast iron construction. I also wanted a rebuildable pump. This one is good to around 10,000 hours, some were as low as 2000, pay attention.
I had second thoughts about the 20 gallon tank but like the smaller size for storage and portability and bet on the pump being able to keep up with my blast cabinet and air tools so I bought it on sale and had it shipped to my local store. Once it arrived we unboxed there and loaded it in the back of my Toyota FJ.
Once home I read over the instructions, schematics and parts listing, very detailed. They are tested but not broken in yet. Before I installed my quick release fittings I ran the compressor open for an hour straight per the instructions.
It's very quiet, I can have a conversation with someone standing right next to it in a normal voice, no yelling required. My 2 month old's bedroom is 25 feet away, never bothers him and I have to listen carefully from his room to detect it running. My blast cabinet requires no more than 80lbs which I set at the compressor. The compressor never gets behind and is able to maintain the 80lbs (or more) at all times. When you first fire it up for use it will build to 135 PSI in short order, usually by the time I'm ready to start using it.
One another note, you can also wire this for 230v if you want to, however, even in my garage on a VERY shared 20amp circuit I've never popped a breaker even with lights, fan and drill press running.
I ran a machine shop for 10 years and am a fairly advanced hobby/car guy so I'm used to much larger compressors, however for my needs as a solid and quality garage compressor you can't beat it. "
