"This review is more about my reaction to how the winch is designed. It's for automobile type vehicles, not tractors. If you ever plan to install this winch on a tractor, you are already out more than the cost and taxes of the winch itself.
First of all, unless your battery is mounted in the front of the tractor, you will have to buy new #2 gauge wire to stretch from the battery to the front where you plan to mount the winch. Then you have to figure out how to fish the wire to the front so it is safely tucked away.
The controller box will be mounted in such close proximity to the winch that you will probably need to cut the rather long wires that run from the box to the winch connection points, so now you have buy three new crimpable wire ends. The ground wire for the winch is attached to the winch, not the control box yet the control box has a tiny thin ground wire that attaches to the winch, go figure.
The best method of connecting the power is to get two battery connectors that allow you to hook the tractor hot and ground wires, then has ports to connect the winch hot and ground wires. Then use those big plastic red mega plug ins with the ceramic wire connector ends that have to be soldered not crimped.
Due to the ground wire for the winch being connected directly to the winch, removing the control box for storage when not using the winch may be difficult as the hole you cut in the metal plate to mount it and run the wires through may not be wide enough to pull the plug box through. Haven't found that out yet. My goal is to remove the winch when not in use.
Other than that it looks like a beast and I hope to use it to pull trees down when I'm cutting firewood. Some trees want to fall the wrong way, and I want to change their mind."

"5 Star Winch--- Wait for a sale... This is a great winch. you cannot beat WARN quality or warranty. A winch is an item that you don't use day in and day out but when you do need to use is, you need it to work. For that reason buy quality. Other non name brand winches are great... just do your research and pick the right one."
