" Does what you'd expect. Hung it on my gantry crane. Works well with that. Thought I might move it around and use if for other purposes. Probably going to just leave it on the crane given how heavy it is. Seems well made and strong. "

" The quality of these chain hoist are as high as the 2 ton units I have used costing 3 times as much. I would recommend these to any one in need of one. "

Roughneck 2-Ton Chain Hoist

" So far I have been very pleased with this hoist. As someone who typically pushes products to their limit, this thing is meeting the challenge. I bought this to lift a 2-ton chunk of concrete for a rigging course we offer. We have lifted that thing up and down more times than I care to count and the hoist does it with ease.
Ideally I should have bought a 3-ton unit knowing that I wanted to use it regularly for a 2-ton load, but I chose to keep the cost and weight down by going with the smaller unit. Even at full load, the swivel function works well to turn the block if we need to. I don't know what the required force is to lift the full 2-tons...it requires a pretty good pull, but it's not that bad. When lifting this much a long way, such as 4-5', it would be nice to have a larger unit which would lessen the required pulling force, but it is manageable. For lighter loads, it works extremely well. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because I would have liked to see just a bit less pulling force for the full 2-ton load. Otherwise, this has been a great unit so far. "

The best chain hoist for the money.

" I have a privacy fence that is 8 feet tall and uses 12 foot 4x4's for the support posts. The posts are in the ground as much as 48". I had storm damage and 13 sections of the fence was destroyed. I had to pull the old concrete and support posts out to rebuild the fence. I at first tried a come-a-long but it would not do a thing. I purchased this chain hoist and made a tripod out of 4x4's wrapped with a large chain and stood them over the left over concere in the ground. The chain hoist pulled them out like butter. It was truly a God send. I had 10 out in a matter of a couple of hours. I would recomend this hoist to anyone that has some heavy pulling or lifting to do. Great product. Also stood up to being dragged around in the dirt. Great product. Buy one. "
