95% Perfect - Wastes a little fuel

" I was really looking forward to getting this funnel to use with my diesel lawn tractor. I liked the fact that it would keep harmful byproducts out of my fuel system. There is always loose grass and dirt around when I am topping off my tank. My only gripe is that there is about 1/8 - 1/4" on the bottom inside of the funnel I am guessing is there so any contaminants have a place to gather, but it also appears that perfectly good fuel is trapped there also at the end of the fueling. It is only a ounce or two, so I shouldn't complain, but it would almost make more sense for the filter in the funnel to go all the way to the bottom, so if your fuel has no contaminants, none would be wasted or needed to be put back into your fuel can for your next round of refueling, if you are frugal like me. If you do have water or something else in the fuel, the filter going to the bottom of the funnel would/could catch the contaminants anyway. "

Problem Solver!

" This filter is a real time and trouble saver! I had some gas cans that were partially filled and had been outside over the last 6 months. I used the Flo Tool Fuel Filter Funnel to transfer the gas into new gas cans. After the gas had stopped flowing from the funnel, there were several ounces of water remaining in the funnel. Without the funnel filter this water would have gone into the gas tank of my equipment.
Run your equipment until it runs out of fuel before you store it for any extended period of time. Use a fuel stabilizer for any fuel that will be stored for more than a month. Use the funnel filter to fill the fuel tank when you are ready to start using the equipment again. This should solve most startup problems with small engines. "

It works--at a small cost

" The filter works well as far as I can tell. It is easy to use and the spout fits most tanks.
The only down point I see is that every time you use the filter you lose about 2 ounces of fuel that collects in the bottom. I guess that is a small price to pay.

Essential tool to have on hand

" I live in a rural area with plenty of dust, bugs, weeds and whatnot to contend with outside the house. Taking care of my property requires a farm tractor/mower, a garden tractor/mower and a gas-powered line trimmer. I used to devise homemade strainers made from funnels and cheesecloth to ensure I pour clean gas, but THIS product does a better job and is more efficient. If you care about your equipment and CLEAN fuel, you need one of these. "

It works

" It works. Plain and simple. I have tested this product in several ways including taking a glass full of water and a glaff full of gas and puting them both in the funnel, the order does not matter and only the gas will come through. I use it on everything now filtering all gas before it makes it makes it into the tank of any machine. "
