"I bought this wand to reach the side's of my house with out having to get on a ladder.
the product is built well, but it is heavy, and I found that it flexed way too much when extended
to be truly effective.

Good but Heavy,
October 22, 2009
By DavidOlds442

"This is a very good wand but it gets heavy after using it at full or close to full extension. It also has a lot of whip to it, so be very careful near power lines. After it gets wet you will need a couple of rags to unlock the section collars. They get tight just from use."

Great time saver,

"This wand provides a long reach to get to those high spots without the use of a ladder. At greater lengths it gets more difficult to handle, but that's expected. It is a lot safer than using a ladder. Durable construction."

Lets you stay on the ground,
October 19, 2009
By Homeowner351
from MA
"I agree with the other reviewers, if you extend all sections to the fullest length, it can be difficult to control. If you back off the top extensions a bit, it works fine. It is better to get the longest wand, as it will be more stable for any of your lower height requirements.
This product saves allot of time for washing the side of my house. It is safer and easier using it from the ground instead of using a hand wand and moving the ladder every few minutes. It does get a bit heavy after an hour or so of continuous use, but the time you save is well worth it.
Fittings are high quality and the product functions well. Would definitely buy again."

Telescoping Washer Wand,

By TiminLa

"Works well. Telescopic twist locking points are nice. Gets heavy with long use, I recommend the support belt for extended use. At full extension, it is hard to manage. Easier to use if you pull the trigger before you try to lift into position.. avoid the "kick"."

A Wet Noodle,
July 29, 2009
By JayNJ
"I’m surprised this item scored so well in the reviews. I bought it mainly to clean the third story siding on my home. With all three sections fully extended, this thing has the rigidity of a wet noodle. The aluminum third section is just too flimsy to give you any accuracy. I highly recommend the support belt, but don’t assume it’ll spare your arms and back from a major workout. I’m 50 and go to the gym on a regular basis, but three days after using the wand, I’m still feeling the burn – it’s certainly a younger man’s toy.
Another issue is that the wand needs more of an angled connection tube at the top. Look at the photo – what’s that – a 10 degree bend at best? The wand is designed to basically squirt straight. It just doesn’t work well when you’re up three stories trying to clean a vertical surface. When fully extended, the wand needs to be close to vertical while in operation. Trying to angle it any more than 10~15 degrees at full length just doesn't work. The length is too great, and the wand is too heavy to hold up for any length of time.
In closing, the unit is adequate with the first two sections extended. If you’re looking to avoid ladder time thinking this wand will effectively clean at the 24 foot level, you’re mistaken."

"I have been cleaning windows and pressure washing for years now. This is a product I wish I had found a long time ago. It is a little tuff to get used to but after a few minute its just like washing something in front of you. I do highly recommend the belt that you can get for this product to help when using for long periods of time. If you have any over head pressure washing to do this is the only way to go."

product fell apart in less than 2 months,

"I bought this wand knowing that it would save me a lot of time and keep me safer by keeping me on the ground. Well on the exact same day, one of the twist tighteners was giving me some problems so I unscrewed it all the way only to find that the brads underneath had started to work loose and pop out and they were scraping chunks of plastic off of the inside grooves of the tightener. Then, as I was fully extended 24" in the air, a different tightener gave loose all of a sudden and came crashing down. The force of the rest of the wand above it knocked out the tightener on the inside of the wand pole. I wasn't able to finish my job. I promptly returned it to exchange for another one. We'll see how this one works out - hopefully much better and this one was just a fluke. I consider this product a necessity for anyone who pressure washes houses for a living, but Northern Tool needs to do a serious product eval on this product."

Great Product,
July 13, 2009
By Handy101

"I was very pleased with how well this telescoping wand worked. It made cleaning the very top portion of my eaves (22 feet above the ground) a snap. Using the wand in its fully extended configuration took good balance and patients to maintain the spray nozzle directed at the area to be cleaned.. I did use the support belt and this aided in supporting the wand. While using the wand in its fully extended position was not the easiest thing to do, it was a great deal easier and faster than using a ladder and having to climp up and down all the time. There was no problem dispensing cleaning solution even with the wand fully extened. I definately recommend the wand to anyone having to clean more than a single story roof line and siding."

"This product is outstanding and well worth the price.
Not only does it help get to hard to reach areas, it stores just as easy .
The design creates a lightweight tool, with easy handling, and superb cleaning power.
Cleaning stucco? Well this tool is a must.
No ladder dings, or scrapes, and keeps you on the ground for added safety.
Bottom line this product is safe, reliable, and pays for itself a thousand times over. Nobody should own a pressure washer without this product.
In my book its a A+.

telescoping wand,
March 23, 2009
By jrvette
from northwestern Tennessee
"I bought this hoping for some time and effort savings. the wand was very well made, and did everything as advertised. It sure saved me a lot of time from moving the ladder and getting up and down.
On the plus side , I saved a lot of time and effort. and was able to reach everything on the house and garage without a ladder, a big deal for me.
On the down side it is pretty heavy to hold up, especially when extended. more so when extended all of the way out.
I would recommend getting the belt that is available to help support, although I think the belt/ harness could stand some improvement, although that's another review altogether.
Overall, a very good purchase and is well made. If weight is really an issue, you could go for the lighter but not as well made aluminum one.

"the 24' length is great for the peaks on houses, however, with the 3rd ext., it is a bit hard to control. ( easier & safer than working off a ladder )
I also, have a 12' wand which is great. it is light and easy to handle, but has limited reach

24 ft Power Washer Wand,
November 18, 2008
By dcyelle
from Middletown, DE
"Trying to reach the 3rd story of a house is difficult on a ladder. Using the wand was much safer than standing on a ladder. Fully extended, the 24ft wand is very difficult to control, but using the first two fiberglass sections and only one aluminum section extended, makes the job easier. Also, to get that mold off those higher areas, use a Power Nozzle that circulates, it does the trick. I like this product and have already recommended to a friend that actually bought the 18 ft wand."
