Good and not so good

"I used this rake on my lawn and it worked wonderful, it put the grass in a line and I was able to pick it up with the lawn sweeper, but when I wanted to rake long cut grass it worked horrible-everything kept getting jammed up and the grasses got entangled in the spokes and around the hubs. I had to get off I don't know how many times just to untangle it all.
Mine did not come with a book that would explain how to change them around to use it differently. I would like to use it as a rake that both sides are in one direction so that the grasses would roll like the big rakes farmers use.
I would recommend it if you only wanted to use it on your lawns but if you wanted to use it in fields with long grasses that are cut-I definitely would not recommend it."

Fine for de-thatching and spring cleaning

,

"Was skeptical given previous write-ups, however when it arrived my wife assembled the rake, hooked it up behind the ATV and had completed the de-thatching of the yard before I got home. The yard was done better than the local lawn service we used last year. Best of all we can use this over heavily thatched areas again to get right down to the dirt. She did add 15 lbs of weights on each "arm" to get the spines down into the lawn (reason we marked it 4 of 5 stars). I was impressed with the quality of the overall product, heavy duty spines, materials and steel and believe this will work for many years to come. Paid for itself in just this year's cost for the lawn service."

spring raking

"This rake really makes it a breeze to get your yard into shape after a long hard winter, it dethatch's and aeriates at the same time. It also works great for losening gravel stones out of your yard from the snow plow from the winter months. I would recommend this prodect to anyone that has a large yard, and it also saves time on raking the yard as well."

"I purchased this less than a year ago and used it twice. It does not perform very well and has already rusted through. Now I will see how Northern Tool handles the return!"

Acreage Rake-a waste of money

,

"The rack just doesn't work like I thought it would. It does a poor job of racking and if your lawn is not perfectly level it has high and low coverage.
I would not recommend this.
