Great Value

"This is a large canopy. I first used this canopy to provide cover for a temporary bandstand. The weather brought wind and showers and the canopy remained in place and did its job. I needed 4 helpers to put it up for the first time in 1 hour. Next time it will be easier. I color-coded each of the pipe components to make placement more obvious. I think I got good value with this purchase. My only suggestion is that the ground stakes are too small and short. I have made my own for next time."

Frame is ok but thats it

"I've had this canopy for 3 years now or longer. BE SURE to get the anchors or a good wind will take it sailing. I didn't get all my anchors tied down. Winds lifted it 6 ft on the end that wasn't tied down yet. Had other end not been tied down it would have been gone. You'll also need self taping screws to screw the joints together to keep it from coming apart in winds. The canopy is absolutely WORTHLESS in heavy rain and high winds (30+). After replacing that canopy (within 6 weeks it tore apart), the other one didn't fare any better but I kept it on until it totally shredded. I think found out about billboard tarps. That's the ticket, using six 10ft pipes (3 per side) and 2 on each end, then tie that to the anchors, it finally rebuffs the wind.
So the frame is ok although a few of the poles are bent now from the winds tearing through it, that's life as we do get winds on occasion in the 40+ range and a LOT of 20+ especially with the storms we get.
So the little thin reinforced paper covers and enclosures are worthless. Get a billboard tarp, much much stronger but it will reduce the light from the sun and you'll need to string lights to see but it keeps the heat out."

Canopy

"I live in Florida. This is my work studio. I have it located right outside my garage. Doubled my work area. This canopy replaced a smaller one I had been using. It assembled with no problem. Two of us had it up in about two hours. I did make 80 lb weights that I anchored to each leg but also gave me another 8" in height. WIth the winds we get here the canopy would take off without them. Also when it is raining, which it can do here a lot, gives us a place to pull the truck in to unload or work on."

Excellent Shelter

"Had no difficulty installing canopy. Placing my 5th wheel under which will require me to extend legs to achieve clearance height of 14 ft. installing cover was easy, but needed help in setting poles. Good idea to install self tapping screws at all frame connections to keep legs from pulling out from storms."

Shelter Max

"When I received the package it didn't look like it had enough stuff in it. After I opened it up and did an inventory did I find it had everything I needed. When I was assembling the frame the only thing that I deviated from was that I went and got some other galvanized bolts to replace the shorter bolts with wing nuts to secure the truss cables. The frames went up fairly easily and the trusses were not that hard to assemble and put into the vertical posts. You will need help doing this as they are quite long. Putting the cover over it was the easiest part. I tied 3 ropes to the one side of the cover and through the ropes over the top to the other side. Then I got 2 friends to help with pulling it over the top. After that it was just a matter of securing the bungy cords to the frame. I didn't get the end panels as I wanted to see if I would really need them. So far I haven't needed them. This was much cheaper to do than to build a roof over the camper which is what this was for."

Problem with weather and storms
April 21, 2012
"This is ok if you don't get storms, high winds or heavy rain (anything more than a sprnkle). After having an enclosure kit ripped to shreads in less than a week (thank goodness for 30in anchors at every other leg and two canopy tops (worthless for rain). Their canopy tie downs (little bungees are worthless too). The frame itself is great - tarp material worthless. I ended up getting a billboard tarp and now its great - much thicker material with pipes in to hold it down tight, now no water or wind problems"
