"Bought this axe last year. it is one of the finest balanced axes I've ever used. Excellent for chopping trees down, branches. ect. the blades are thin so they cut very well and are very sharp. this is not an axe for splitting wood though since the blade is not made to split apart and open the wood like with a wedge type blade. it's thin so it will just get stuck in the wood and not split it. buy a splitting maul for that, but if you want to chop things fast then buy this axe it works incredible."

"I originally bought this axe to help clear a bunch of trees that had fallen or been damaged at a friends in a recent storm. While a chainsaw is my preferred choice, there are certain situations that can't replace a good axe. There were several trees I needed to fall certain ways in order to avoid damage to a shed. This axe is well balanced, sharp, and the most accurate one I've used to date. Grips are fantastic, handle is durable, and the blade resharpens well. I'm not sure when I'll have to buy a new axe, but when i do I gaurantee I'll buy another roughneck."
