I bought this a couple months ago. The reviews were good and bad so I bought the extended warranty, This is a heavy duty trimmer, runs great. I have seen this model sell used for a higher price than this rebuilt one. Good buy.
I was really hoping to buy an inexpensive gas trimmer to cut back landscaping in the Fall that would work well. I'm not sure if it was the fact it was reconditioned or if this model has no guts but I was not pleased. It bogged down easily and ran like the choke was left half on. I'm going to send it back and buy a new, larger one.
We were excited to open the box and find a new looking trimmer, but our excitement was short lived. The trimmer ran for three minutes and then wouldn't start. Discovered that the fuel pipes had not been replaced and had broken off inside the fuel tank. Took it to a warranty repair centre who informed us that the manufacturer doesn't like to pay on warranty repairs for fuel related items. Got the trimmer back and tried again. This time it ran for half an hour - back to the warranty repair centre. This time it was a new carburetor. It now runs but our 30 days warranty is about to expire - I was a firm Husqvarna supporter but I am not sure after this. Northern Tool will not take back equipment that have been gassed (how do you test the item without putting in gas?) and were really not very helpful except to give me a list of warranty repair shops, most of whom do not touch items that they did not originally sell. Overall a poor buying experience - I won't try this again.
