Klutch LED tripod light, #28678

"Knowing the shortcomings of the tripod stand, I decided to try this product anyway, because I've had too much trouble with 500W halogen bulbs blowing constantly. The stand is floppy and merely about 5' tall. The power cord length is generous. The first light that I purchased showed subtle signs of having been opened and carefully repackaged. After 15 minutes of use, it popped my circuit breaker twice, and then one light head went dead. I took it back to the store and traded it for a replacement light. It is my hope that LED technology will be more physically durable and still provide enough light for the job (such as painting or drywall sanding), but this purchase is an experiment, and time will tell whether it passes the test.
* Note that my first bad light did not include any on-off switch, but the replacement unit has an on-off push button switch on each of the two light heads. Both were labeled as the exact same model number.
* My solution for the flimsy tripod was to mount the LED lights on my old sturdy halogen's tripod."

"There is no doubt this LED light will brighten your day in every way - 5 stars for sure, but the tripod gets barely 3 stars. Definitely Klutch could have done better with the stand. All in all, I like it."

Great idea, horrible design

"Great idea, poor implementation. The lights themselves are heavy, well built, very bright, and appear very rugged. The issues are the extremely flimsy stand relative to the the heavy light heads. The second issue is the adjustability of the light. The bracket is extremely poorly designed. You can pivot the light up about 20-30 degrees. However, you cannot pivot it down more the 5 degrees because the bracket will not allow the light to point downwards. The nut catches and the bracket severely restricts movement.
I would not recommend this top heavy, flimsy stand light, with extremely limited light adjustment capability until the design issues are solved."

Good lights

"Excellent light output. Since they are LED's they don't get hot to touch and the light is nice and bright. Only negative would be the tripod assembly, it is a little on the flimsy side but it's holding up ok."
