I bought this Hand Truck from Northern Tool about a year ago and was extremely pleased with it to start. I am a pro DJ and move equipment on a weekly basis and the max weight I put on it is my speakers about 65 LBS. When going down stairs the locking bar catches the edge of the stair and releases allowing the wheels to be un-locked. The rubber handles slip up. I have worn this hand truck out and it will not close or open now. I do plan on buying another one because the pros out weigh the cons in my opinion.

Unless they have changed the lockbar design, when locked in the down position, it extends to the point it drags on steps. I've nearly worn it thin dragging it up stairs with a load.
The only other issue are the rubber grips easily slip off when pulling a load.
Otherwise, I've been very pleased. The platform is large enough to carry my typical load of cased wines.
