"We have just got this winch and have used it several times already. It can be mounted in a variety of positions depending on the project. There have been various loads put on it and it handled them all with ease. Make sure you have your load line straight to the capstan otherwise you will have line problems. Also have the winch level with your line too, not tilted one way or the other. Just follow those guidelines and you will really get some use out this winch!"
