Use a flex coupling to direct-mount your engine to pump. Oil-resistant synthetic rubber inserts are used between the coupling halves to provide an equalized cushioned drive. When ordering, get one side to fit the motor and the other side to fit the pump shaft dia. Order two halves plus insert for complete coupling. When mounting, do not pound on the end of your pump shaft. U.S.A. Shaft Diameter in. LO99 HUB 1, Max. RPM 3,600, Max. HP 23, Fits Models LO99, L100, L110, Outside Diameter in. 2 1/2, Keyway in. 1/4 x 1/8. Made for 2 bolt brackets

"Half couplers are easy to order using NorthernTools selection sheet for various sizes. Three pieces makeup a complete unit, i.e. 2-shaft couplings and 1-insert. Each sold separately.

"I am putting together a lawn mower engine and a Johnson bottom end for my boat .
I previously had a cheap coupling from a local source and it was coupled to an 8 hp and even testing it failed and reamed out.This one from N>T> is much better,hard steel and am sure it will not give problems ,It is coupled to an 11 hp briggs."

"Much larger and heavier than the standard coupling sold. A must for any high torque application. Well worth the couple extra bucks over the standard coupling."
