"This carrier is light and easy for one person to handle. It has good load capacity and easily folds out of the way when not in use. My only complaint is its loose fit in the receiver which allows the carrier and its load to rock back and forth while on the road."

Better Bilt cargo carrier,

"Outstanding product, worked as advertised. Though......an extreme pain to get the shims in place. If you don't use the shims it seems very loose. Well worth it once the hour of beating on the receiver was done! I only rate it two stars because of the extreme pain in the rear in setting the shims!"

Thought it would be perfect!,

"In theory, this is a great item, however it does not fit receiver snugly so bounces around a lot. Shims provided to take up play in pivot pieces are a royal pain. The question is ..... why wasn't it made to fit snug without shims?? Probably 1/8-1/4" play causes way to much movement."

Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier,

"I have mostly positive comments about my cargo carrier. I think the most important comment that I could offer would be that I can pick it up by myself and put it on, or take it off, of the receiver hitch (I am a 56 yr old homemaker).
I'm very pleased that it came with reflector strips but perhaps the strips could have been larger.
Something else that I have a good comment about is that when I went through the car wash I was able to put the carrier inside the van so that the brushes could reach all of the rear windows!"
