"The unit was working fine but it won’t lift the 4,000 lbs that was promised. I had to shovel some of the load out to lift the bed. It was installed correctly according to the instructions. I think If you have a lighter load than this one well work Just fine. The next time I well have to buy the one that is heaver duty."

"The unit showed up a couple days later than was promised. The instructions were terrible. It took two reasonably intelligent men, both with above average mechanical ability, the better part of the day just to identify the parts and make heads or tails of the thing. The pictures included in the instructions were probably taken with a camera from a successful install at the factory and Xeroxed. I, no doubt, got the 500th copy. They are extremely poor quality pictures (there’s no excuse for that in this day and age). Two days later, the thing was installed. It won’t lift the 4,000 lbs that was promised. I came across the scale at 9,900 lbs. My rig only weighs 7,240 lbs. That’s 2,660 lbs; add the weight of the bed, maybe 300 lbs; and the weight of the lumber rack, maybe 200 lbs. I only asked it to lift 3,160 lbs. I had to shovel several hundred lbs out to lift the bed. Yes, it was installed correctly, and according to the instructions. No, I won’t buy another one when the new truck comes in."
