Heavy Duty Park Style Grill,
December 25, 2006

"I am a die hard charcoal only grill man--no propane for me! As such I wanted a heavy duty grill that I could permanently locate and that would withstand the weather. I chose this particular grill because I have used this type of grill in state parks before and have been impressed with their durability and function. I was not disappointed, this grill is everything expected! I have been extremely satisfied with this product. If you enjoy charcoal as opposed to propane like me, then I highly reccommend this grill! Tip: I buried a piece of PVC pipe slightly larger than the base of the grill about 2 inches below ground level and set it in concrete, after the concrete set up I simply slipped the base of the grill into the PVC pipe sealed around it with silicone and covered with dirt. Now when I move I can easily take my awesome grill with me. Hope this helps. Enjoy!!"

Neat item but question longevity,

"This is a great park style grill that is very authentic, sturdy, and heavy. Its a conversation piece too. I've mounted the pole in concrete and it looks great. Its held up ok in the elements so far, but there were some chips on it that have rusted a bit so my only concern is longevity. Also, be carefull not to slide the grill forward while shifting around your cooking as it will drop to the lowest level - There's nothing to lock it in place. One more thing, the grill spins on the pole so you can position it to block the wind on the coals, but you can't lock it into position and it will move on you as you're cooking. There is one lockable position only and the pin they give you is way too small."

"I have wanted one of these grills for quite sometime. However, they were always too expensive for my tastes. This one is everything I wanted in a "park style" grill. Setup was easy. I installed it one Saturday morning in about an hour and was cokking on it that afternoon."

Park Grill,

"Grill is what you said - HEAVY DUTY! I wanted the option of using the grill on a couple of different sites on our property. A 2.5" Schedule 40 PVC conduit makes a perfect sleeve for the mounting post. Simply bury and concrete the sleeve - you now can transport the grill to another site, move it for winter, etc. Thanks!"

Heavy Duty Park Style Grill,

"My wife and I do a lot of camping and we have used this same grill at several state parks. We asked the Ranger in Colorado where they purchased this great grill and we were told to oder online at Northern Tool. We ordered our Heavy Duty Park Style Grill and found it to be exactly like the ones we loved to use at the State Parks we stayed at. The grill we bought was mounted by digging a two foot deep hole and using a bag of concrete mix and a level to install the post. The grill mounts on the post with a quick release pin in case you want to store the grill inside when not home. It cleans up easy and is very easy to use. The extra heavy duty steel it is made from should last for many years. The only thing missing is a cover to keep it out of the weather when not being used."
