Slow to pump

"I purchased this for a boat where I couldn't get to the engine oil drain plug very easily. I purchased it new and have used it twice. This unit pumps the engine oil out very slow. Takes about 30 minutes to pump out 5 quarts of warm 40 wt. engine oil. You can see the output hose in the tank and it just kind of spurts out, not a solid consistent stream. You start wondering if the pump is bad but eventually all the oil is pumped out. Otherwise it seems to be ok."

costs too much

"Well first off the tubing seemed like it was pex tubing, which does not go all the way down the dipstick tube on my explorer. So I had to get a little bit of 1/4 inch tubing that was more flexible and then 1/8 inch tubing connected to the 1/4 inch tubing, then it worked. It is quite pricey, it could of included tubing sizes also."

Jabsco oil changer

"Good item. I use it to service my tractor. Don't have to go underneath and unplug the nuts especially outside with the wind blowing oil in my face which is a pain. I just plug this to the oil dip stick hole, attach to the tractor battery and it's a go. Taking the used oil to the recycle center is also a breeze."
