"I had a pair of cables from an "Auto Emergency Kit" that would not jump start my boat. The thin cables could not handle the load. They just got warm. I had to remove a newly charged battery from a friend's boat and put it in mine to get it to start. .
These cables will not leave you in that situation. They are much heavier gauge and are long enough to go from boat to boat."
