Solar Powered Floodlight w/Motion Sensor,
October 13, 2009
By Southernexposure
from Westminster, Maryland
"I purchased this item and read the instruction very, very carefully because of some of the other reviews. I followed these as closely as possible. I even let the solor panel in full sunlight for more than four (4) days. I installed the panel facing directly SOUTH into dailey sunlight. I tested it several times and it appeared to work very well-dim, but it did have light. It appeared to work dimly for about four (4) days.....If you are expecting a flood light, this is not the item. NOW IT DOES NOT TURN ON AT ALL. I turned it off and tryed to recharge, retested and still not even a dim light. In my opinion, save your money. I would like my money back."

Can't get lights to work,
July 26, 2009
By Irene
from Georgia
"We have full day sun. One light tested ok but didn't work at night. The other one hasn't worked at all. We have followed instructions and these lights are placed where other solar lights are working (not motion sensor).
We don't know anything else to do.
I need the lights."

Mixed Feelings,
November 18, 2008
By Charlie3
from Wisconsin
"I bought this about 5 years ago and then it sat on the shelf for 3 years. I finally just sat it on a table and put the solar panel on the ground. I get deer walking between the table and the house and this has worked reasonably well when they walk through. It seems to have just a motion sensor with no light sensor so it will turn on during the day as well as at night. It doesn't stay on for very long, 2-3 minutes or so, but that is probably a good thing. I've now moved it into the house with the panel next to a window and use it to light up a short dark hallway rather than turning on the ceiling light. Outside was nice and fun for seeing the deer but now it's time to save, no matter how small, some money."

Easy to install - Limited service life,
March 15, 2008
By powerpack
from hudson valley, ny
"I bought 2 of these units to illuminate my 400' driveway. They were very easy to install and illuminated the target zone perfectly. However, the systems only lasted about 6 months. The units failed about 2 weeks apart from each other. If you are doing a project and need temporary security lighting, this may be a good alternative to conventional wiring, but consider them as project consumables."

"This product seems highly durable and works as intended. I have had this installed for 2 years. The solar panel is on the barn roof and the light fixture is mounted over the door, under the overhang - outside. I have not had any issues."

"You can find replacement batteries for this at ragebattery. They sell for $5.95. So I bought 3. Put one in and it worked great again for 3 days. Last night it wouldn't go on again. See my other review. I have been disappointed with this product.
I wouldn't by another even on sale at $8.00 off.

Good Invention but...,
March 7, 2007
By Dock
from Golden Valley, AZ
"This is a nice invention, and would fit in a place where it is not used very often, due to the battery life. It works as it was intended, however if it is placed too close to a road, or a place with a lot of action, it turns on too often, causing the battery to go dead. With more battery life, it would be an awesome product, and could be used anywhere on the property."

"Purchaced 5 of these and found all 5 of them were poor design and would draw the battery down when the units were off when the solar was hooked up. Some will cycle on multiple times and never shut off and sometimes will never trigger. The tech support is pretty much useless if they answer the phone."
