What a huge difference this fan made

"I had been looking for some alternative options to help cool my 2 story house in New Mexico, and thought this would be a great starting point. I had done plenty of research on the net and found that this was the best bang for my buck.
My package arrived as scheduled, nicely packed and nothing damaged. I couldn't install it for a few days, but I did have the chance to play with it on the patio. The fan even runs with the sunlight reflecting off the patio cement!
I installed my fan over a existing vent opening with minimal modification/disruption of the roof itself. The instructions are straight forward. It took about 3 hours total, as i didn't want to damage any existing shingles.
On a 74 degree day around noon it was already pulling 105 degree air from the attic. One thing to consider, if you have a heat/ac unit in the attic, make sure you have enough free airflow to not create negative pressure and draw CO2 from your heating unit. I added a few 6x12 eave vents after I found out the insulation was covering a lot of the existing vents up.
One solar fan sure did make a difference. I will be adding another as soon as I figure out the square footage of my irregular hip roof design. Everyone should consider a solar roof vent. Believe me...it did already make a difference in keeping things cooler upstairs.
