Expensive, but pays for itself,

"I had to think long and hard before spending this much money for a tool that I didn't expect to use very often. My real dilemma was deciding whether to spend the extra money to be able to read OBD I since vehicles requiring it are fast fading from the scene.
I feel that I've paid for the scanner in only one year. My high mileage car has been experiencing Intermittent problems that would have required many dealer visits to diagnose. It seems that a car never experiences problems when the dealer actually has his equipment hooked up to it. The real time display really earns its keep when it comes to diagnosing Intermittent problems.
I've still only used the OBD I capabilities to assist friends, but I expect that too will pay back in returned favors."
