Very Satisfied,November 2, 2009
By Crucesmanfrom Las Cruces, NM
"This kit has all you need other than the drill and bit to make the whole in the bed. We did add a litlle pipe tape on the fitting just for reassurance, but I dont think it was needed. It sure makes it nice to have about a 100 gallons on board when heading to the mountains for a week where there are no stations to refuel!"

Diesel install kit,July 20, 2009
By DrillbitTailorfrom Indiana
"I installed this several years ago when installing the auxillary 37 gallon fuel tank. It was scary to revove and saw of part of my fuel filler neck, so I measured many times before cutting. It was hard to get the T to be positioned exactly as it showed in the instructions, but I got it close. I put a grommet around the fuel hose going through the hole I drilled in the truck bed so that the hose would not wear due to contact with the metal. I also added a clear in-line fuel filter that sits in the box next to the tank so I can see fuel flowing and make certain nothing gets in the fuel system.. just an added precaution. I did have the tank overflow the first time I filled it and the main tank and left the valve open. Not sure why the overflow shutoff did not prevent it, but it has not happened since, but I do not trust it to be left open with both tanks full. I wait until the main tank is down to 3/4 or less now. It has worked reliably for me for several years."

Diesel Install Kit,July 13, 2009
By Maverick50
"Everything was there, easy to understand instructions. Gravity feed is a cheap inexpensive way to go. I did add an electronic switch and solenoid valve after the manual valve. If the manual switch fails, I can replace it without empting the tank. Now as I drive down the road I can flip a switch and start filling my main tank. If I shut off the engine the valve closes (safety measure) ."

By chickfire13
"I have a 1997 F250 my truck has the vent line on the outside of the fuel line making it impossible to use the system provided please be aware of your hose type before purchasing. At this time I cannot use my tank because I cannot access my main fuel system on my truck currently trying to figure out options as to how to feed into my main tank."

"I installed this kit with ease. It's a straight forward package that will get your aux. tank connected to the main tank. One word of advice: Put the shut off valve & a filter before the T that goes into your trucks origional fill tube. I found after a few full tanks that the filter needed changing. This was due to the aux. tank being used & had some crud in it. So being able to use the shut off valve, it was easy to swap out the filter for new. Also I found raising the factory tank vent or putting in a one way breather was a must when the both were full. It will overfill & leak out the factory vent. Overall this is a 5 star product. Hope this helps---Proflow"

Better than nothing at all,March 14, 2008
By powerstrokerfrom Middle Georgia
"I put this little dude on my 05 F-250. It worked fine for about six months then it quit transfering after I had it turned off for a while. Once I got it working again by tapping on it, it would not shut off. I had to keep a close watch on it to keep from spilling fuel. I guess it may have gotten gummed up or something. It was a buggar to install due to the narrow space on the Ford. It also transfers very slow. Probably due to the size of the I.D."

Works Perfectly,March 10, 2008
By NorthernToolFanfrom Seattle, WA
"Works perfectly on my 2001 Dodge Ram Quad Cab diesel pickup. IMPORTANT NOTE: 2nd Generation Dodge diesel pickups (and possibly other models) have a vent called a "rollover valve" on the top of the factory fuel tank module which may leak when the tank is completey filled by a gravity flow method. To prevent this, simply attach a 1/4" ID fuel line to the nipple protruding from this vent and terminate the other end to a level well above the factory tank filler neck. A suggested termination point for this new vent line is to tee into the vent on the auxilliary fuel tank."

Works well.,January 14, 2008
By Countryfrom VA
"I purchased this kit to go with the axillary fuel tank and it works as advertised. I also installed a in-line electronic shut off valve. This is on a in cab switch. I keep the valve open most of the time when driving, because the tank drains very slow. If I'm pulling, it drains almost as fast as the engine uses fuel."

fuel transfer installation kit,October 29, 2007
By HBearfrom VT
"Easy installation. Cutting filler hose from tank to filler opening was trial and error to begin with. Sawsall would not cut it easily. Switched to sharp utility knife and it was a piece of cake. Overall installation was easy. I spent about 45 minutes. Highly recomend this kit for your tranfer tank installation."

Ford install kit,October 29, 2007
By GoBigOrangefrom Knoxville, TN
"The installation kit is pretty straight forward to install and works well except for occasionally overfilling the tank if left on when parked-- not to the point of spilling fuel unless you remove the cap. It probably needs a more sensitive check valve or maybe even an electric solonoid to shutoff the fuel when not in use. Overall it's a good kit and should be maintenance free."

Effective and simple design,October 16, 2007
By ColoradoGuyfrom Colorado
"Works exactly as described...no overfilling or leaks from the check valve. I installed mine on a 2001 F250 short bed extended cab. The valve had to fit just above the frame rail and under the bed. Clearance was tight and the area is difficult to reach. It took me over an hour to cut the factory fill tube and get the valve secured with the hose clamps. Patience is required. If the installation was a little less taxing on the fingers, I would have given it a 5 star rating. Perhaps on other trucks there is more working room. Before ordering, I would suggest scoping out your truck tor adequate installation room Once installed, it has function perfectly. Simple is good, and this system feeding the fuel using gravity and a check valve is a great value."

Don't believe note,October 1, 2007
By Anonymousfrom Hiddenite, North Carolina
"I had a 96 Ford F-250 and had a 100 galon aux tank built for it, but when the time came to install it they could not hook it up because of the vent hose was on the inside of the main fill hose. So i had bought a 2001 F-350 and it went in with no problems because the vent hose was on the outside. And it does need a bigger drain hose for sure because it does feed fuel pretty slow. Also had to JB weld hose fitting to tank because it stripped the threads. Overall great kit just check to see if your vent hose runs on the outside of main fill tube."
