"This lawn vac works very well. The engine is easy to start, the suction is very good, the impeller is a 6 bladed steel design, and has a good size 8in. hose. It is a well constructed machine and is relatively light compared to others I have looked at. The only problem I encountered is the attachment of the hose to the mower deck and impeller housing. It slides over these parts and is clamped on with hose clamps. Good luck getting the hose over these parts. There must be a better way. Very difficult, but once on works very well. I really like this machine except for this."

Great Product

"I bought this unit last november (2010). I mulched our yard and almost the entire neighborhood - about 2 acres. The mulcher performed flawlessly behind my Husqvarna 54" mower. My neighbors love me!
Pros: 8" hose - takes a lot to clog; mulcher blades will suck up large debris such as a 10" hose clamp and not jam. Clamshell design to empty is very convenient as long as you don't over-fill the unit. Tongue weight of unit is pretty light and easy to hitch up. Instructions include templates for cutting the mower outlet - no measuring or complicated verbal instructions to make it confusing. Two year warranty.
Cons: Capacity of unit is modest sized and requires frequent unloading. It is possible to overload the unit which causes an impaction of leaves in the upper part of the clamshell - the part that you lift up. In a severe case, it becomes impossible to lift the upper clamshell; you have to reach inside and pull leaves out until you can lift the upper part. (I'm 6'2'' and can lift 150 lbs no sweat). The solution is to empty the unit before it gets impacted. I'm not wild about Briggs and Stratton but the unit runs well. The top of the unit is mesh and allows leaf debris to blow out the top - dust really - and so you'll get dirty and dusty during use when you're downwind. None of these "problems" would deter me from buying this unit again; they are more a matter of learning how to use it."
