Does the job well

"My lawn was wrecked by moles, so I hitched the roller up to my 15yr old Honda ride on mower and in just a short time my lawn was flat again - until the moles came back. I lost a circlip from one side and called Brinly who sent me a free replacement and a couple of spares within a couple of days. My only issue with this roller is that the cap on the drum flller hole is very stiff to tighten, and it is impossible to tell if you are cross threaded - you just have to use brute force with pump pliers and trust it to thread properly (which it did). I would recommend this roller to anyone."

Durable - Fills the need

"The Lawn Roller was purchased to tow behind a lawn tractor for the purpose of compacting new dirt/soil in a new-construction yard.
Assembly of the components of the Roller was straightforward and posed little challenge. Once assembled, filling the roller was also easy. The hitch assembly is a standard split-harness type and will work on any lawn tractor.
The best feature about this Roller is the fact that it can be filled to any level, allowing the user to vary the weight or pressure on the area being rolled. The same issue is a shortcoming, in that there is no way to know what weight is being used in any condition except empty (shipping weight) or full (advertised useful weight).
Another feature that would be useful, but is not available for this roller, is an attachment that would allow for the roller to be used manually. Although the smaller rollers made by this manufacturer are made with handles for that purpose, this unit is made exclusively to be towed behind a tractor. An attachable handle would be a great asset, and would improve the ability to use this roller in tight areas.
Overall, I recommend this roller for anyone who has a larger area to roll or compact, and has a tractor with which to tow the device.

390 LB. LAWN ROLLER

,

"This roller is very useful in repacking soil that has been displaced by a stump or sewer/water pipe. It was towed behind a 16HP riding mower (HYDROSTAT) without any problems. Two of my neighbors ask me to pack their lawns after seeing what an effortless & smooth job that it did on mine. It works best full, & has the most effect if used about 24 hrs. after a good rain. The larger roller ( 600+) might be too much for the HYDROSTAT transmission. Bigger isn't always better."
