Waste of money

,

" Worst transfer pump I've ever used!!! It has only worked one time without something breaking on it. The wiring for the switch was put together with a wire nut and it came apart the second time I used it. The switch broke the fourth time I used it and had to be replaced. Every time after that the inline fuse would blow, traced it to a short in power wire going inside the motor and had to re solder it. Now it has shorted out again and is in the motor. I have only used this pump maybe a dozen times, it has cost me more money in downtime than if I'd have just spent the money and bought a quality transfer pump from another manufacturer. "

Fuel Transfer Pump

,
May 4, 2013
By Trallee

" This think worked good for about 4 months then the motor quit while we were out of town. Had to buy fuel in two towns to get home. Got home, tore it apart, didn't see anything so I put it back together and it ran the rest of the summer. Didn't use it again until one month after the warranty expired. Fueled one tank, switched the nozzle to the second tank then it quit. Have again torn it apart and put it back together again but not quite as lucky, this time.I have only put about 500 gallons through this thing. "

Pump makes Condensation

,
November 25, 2012
By WMD01
from Benton, La
" First pump lasted nine months used twice.
Second replacement pump lasted 14 months again used twice. Both times due to condensation in the electric motor area. The second pump was inspected when received and found that the screws were finger tight at best. Siliconed the gaskets and tightened the screws. Still, water built up in the electrical components area and destroyed them with corrosion. When I reopened the electrical end of the pump, all the gaskets had held good and had not leaked. These pumps build up condensation and need to be vented with a filtered vent to avoid buildup and keep dust out.

Good pump

,

By UncleRock

" This thing moves fuel fast enough for just about any job.
I have pumped 35 gal into 1 tank, shut pump down pulled up next tank, pumped 80 gal without a blip.
Very easy to get to filter screen (nice feature)
Work within it's rated duty cycle and it shold last a very long time.
Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars, it could use an auto shut off.
