Powersmith Cordless Drill,

"I am a engineer by profession and love good quality power tools. Last year I bought this drill as a gift to my son-in-law, who is NOT a handyman. Imagine my pleasure when he called me at least 3 times in following months to thank for an excellent gift, which made his life easier doing house projects. Every time he used it, he just had to call. I think this drill is an excellent product at very reasonable price."

"I highly recommend this product. I purchased the Powersmith drill four years ago and it was the best investment I made yet. It still works like it is brand new and never let me down. I use this drill constantly. Thank you for an excellent product which made my life easier."

"The keyless chuck is not effective in holding drill bits. I have very strong hands, but I am often unable to tighten the keyless chuck enough to keep a drill bit from slipping in the chuck.
Other low cost cordless drills I have purchased have not had this problem."

"I bought this drill as I never owned one and needed a drill to hang pictures, take apart some furniture, and hang other things! It was awesome! It was everything I needed, held a good charge, and is decently lightweight!
I would recommend this to my friends who are in the same boat as me!"

"This drill is reasonably priced and therefore a good value. The largest problem with the drill is the battery charger. It does not automatically cycle off. Reading other reviews regarding the battery problems, I think this is the main problem.
So, if you can remember to unplug the charger when the charging is complete this is a great deal. Just don't forget to unplug it."

"I bought this 3/8" cordless drill/driver around Christmas of '08. Just started using it about a week ago on a remodel of a house. For the price I feel it's a good tool. Batteries hold a charge well even when I'm driving 3" screws into old wood (the house is 62 yrs old). The clutch does not always release when it should causing screws to set too deep into drywall, but that just requires a little caution with the user and there is no further problem."

"The kit itself was a great value for ythe price paid. The drill worked well when new. The batteries did not hold a charge. I have 2 of the drill sets plus 3 extra batteries. All 5 batteries have failed in storage (6 months)."

"I bought this drill last year, the battery didn't last but a few minutes on a charge, what a piece of junk! If you have a good-quality old drill, you're better off buying a new battery for it than replacing it with the PowerSmith."
