Wont run a 700 W microwave @full power

"We bought a 1500W inverter to use at the camp for some lights a stove blower and a small microwave.Lights -great ; fan great; small air compressor great ; 700 watt microwave- not so great, the microwave seemed to run at about 1/2 power, fired up the generator and plugged the microwave in and it worked fine.Could possibly be that I needed more battery ,currently its a Optima deepcycle 50AH battery.Overall a good purchase."

"I bought this several months ago and let it sit until the other week. When I took it out of the box it didn't work. Called customer service and they replaced it no questions asked.
Just hooked up the new one and it works like a champ. Northern Tool has great products, competitive pricing and great customer service. Look forward to buying something else that I can't live without."

"I use my NPower 1000 watt Inverter for camping. This allows me to be completely "Off-Grid" and "Electrify" my campsite!! I power the Inverter with a Deep-Cycle Battery. I plug two L.E.D. Worklights into my Inverter which lights my entire campsite for the whole night!! Also, I use a Solar Panel to re-charge my Battery during the day, which gives me a completely "Green" application, since I no longer use Lanterns. The Lanterns use expensive petroleum (gas) which produce harmful CO2 & greenhouse gases!! I absolutely love my investment and have successfully recommended it to two other people!!"

Great inverter

"I purchased this to run some communications equipment in the field. I was worried about it not being able to handle the load, but this worked like a champ. Some things I really like about this unit are the display of voltage and wattage, the ability to remotely switch it on and off, it doesn't get excessively warm, and I also like how it shuts itself down when the power source drops below a certain voltage - which happened to me, but thankfully I had enough power left to start my truck.
Just be aware that if you're going to be using high-wattage inverters like this, they can draw a lot of amperage. 500 watts is only 4.2 amps at 110 VAC, but is a whopping 41.7 amps at 12 VDC! So if you're considering this unit, you must run some thick cables (I'm using 200A cables), you'll probably have to keep your engine running, and some vehicle alternators may not keep up at engine idle.
My new plans are to install a marine deep cycle battery with an isolator between it and the starting battery, and then connect this inverter to the deep cycle. This should allow me to run the inverter longer without the engine running, it shouldn't hurt the battery too much from the deep discharge, and I'll always be able to start my truck. Some of the vehicles where I work have 2kW inverters, and they also add a 2nd alternator to keep up with the heavy loads.
So in general, I think this is a great inverter and I would buy this again."
