"I purchased this unit last fall along with a solar panel and battery monitor from Northern tools for a small cabin. I would rate it as one of my Best buys and it has performed very well running every thing from my cabin lights to my circular saw. I would highly recommend this to anyone but keep in mind that a good deep cycle battery is the core of the system and periodic recharging is needed.Do not use cheap or old batteries and expect to have a reliable system."

"About as basic as you can get, but still be a good value. I believe it is made by Xantrex which is a good name, for technical details go to Duracell web site and download PDF. Suggest checking prices other places. Have had no problems so far, use it on jobs to run small power tools from battery."
