"I had to dig a trench, at least 18 inches deep, from my house to barn for electrical conduit. I encountered granite along the way and used this hammer drill to help break up the granite by drilling multiple 3/4 inch holes and then spitting the rock. This drill did a great job of cutting through this very hard stone relatively quickly (as long as the drill bit was sharpened, of course). I bought Milwaukee because I have found all of their products to be reliable, powerful and well designed."
