Modified to fit small garden tractor

I have a Cat 0-1 hitch on an John Deere 430 LGT, which is similar but larger than the 318. I needed to create some drainage ditches so I thought this would be a good deal since its adjustable. Turns out that is not quite adjustable enough. It does not clear the ground in the highest setting, so I added one more hole in the plow insert and reamed out the lower hole to match the carrier mounting pattern. The two bolts are not the same size and its not designed as a shear bolt because there is a back plate that prevents rotation. I replaced the bolts with clevis pins for field adjust-ability without having to carry a toolbox. Now I have a tool that works for digging 15" deep drainage ditches using multiple passes or busting up the soil without tearing up the lawn to get there. I believe the pattern is 5" between adjustments since I didnt see it listed anywhere before I purchased it.

Good tool for tractor

A few thoughts: the plow vertical channel and cross tube were not perfectly perpendicular, but the tool still works great.
You CAN buy the subsoiler tooth by calling Northern Tool and after getting some longer 1/2" bolts, it goes right on where the plow blade normally is. Two tools in 1 for a great price!
There IS a shear pin: the lower bolt is smaller diameter than the upper and is designed to be the weak point. I never sheared it after pulling the plow to full depth and the subsoiler through driveway base rock.
I've used this plow to start a ditch that I finished with my rear tilt blade and to tear up my garden to prep for tilling. Works great, and is a great deal for the $.

We bought this NorTrac Middle Buster Blade to dig rows for planting over 4,000 small pine trees on our acreage. It worked exactly as we wanted and made planting a breeze.

Plow is no Good

First time i used it the plow folded up and is about 6" wide now. I cut a line with a trencher and wanted to make it wider. I put the plow in the ground maybe 8" deep and it folded up. I would weld a bar across the back between the insides of the plow then maybe it would not fold up.
