"Have used to grind venison for summer sausage and makes the chore so much easier. Half horse motor with 3"-3 1/2" pulley. No problems. Will grind meat as fast as you can feed it at 1725rpms. No slowing down or jamming. Excellent."

"The nut will not stay on when trying grind. It is not threaded deep enough to lock on and pushes of as soon as the auger is loaded. I modified it with hold down bolts and use it now. Mine grinds well when the nut stays on and I will continue to use it but is not workable out of the box."

"I bought this grinder about a year ago & hooked up a variable speed motor it. Yesterday was my first time to use it grinding meat. First if all the auger is not straight & bangs loudly against the housing. After grinding about 10 pounds of meat the ring nut started pushing off the end of the grinder. After inspection it appears that it is not threaded well & fits loosely on the grinder. I was able to add about half a roll of Teflon tape to the threads & it would stay together if you didn't put a lot of load on it. Now I'm afraid to buy another ring nut thinking it will be the same as the one I got already. Should have worked it as soon as I got it so maybe I could have returned it & found a better one."

"I have had this grinder for several years and love it. We process several deer each season, and here in Alabama that can be several!! I have it attached to a 1/2 hp motor and it is awesome, very fast, and never need a stomp-er to make it feed. If we are grinding three or more deer at once I will usually remove and clean the plate and knife about half way through. I believe the negative reviews may be caused by a simple mistake of turning to knife backward."
