"Honda has been making engines since at least the end of second world war and great ones at that. With fantastic engineering built in they out-class their competition by a mile. If you want a relible quiet running engine than look no further."

GREAT ENGINE!!

"Honda's small engines are tough, powerful yet easy on fuel. The 390 cc is no exception! Always starts quickly and runs smoothly. I got the engine as a replacement for an air compressor engine and this one has handled the chore with ease."

Great engine

"We use these to run our breathing compressors. They run FOREVER. Some of them have been in service 7+ years getting 5+ hours a day of use. Still start easy and run well from -10 F to 110 F, these engines have seen it all and keep on ticking. The ONLY tiny complaint I have is the location of the low oil/safety shut-off switch. If this goes bad, you have to open the crankcase to replace the switch. PITA. Other than that, Honda engines are the best small engine bar none."

Convenient Long Lasting Electric Start Engine

,

"Whenever we lose an engine due to overuse we usually purchase a Honda engine. We have six currently. The electric start is easier on the engine and the employee. Buy a product with your employee in mind. My boss took care of me and I am going to take care of him."

You Can't Kill a Honda!

,
January 21, 2008
By ChefGarry
from Boston, MA
"We have had this 13 HP Honda Engine on one of our service pump trucks since 1996 and have NEVER had to have the engine serviced other than regular oil changes. I would not be able to estimate the hours on this engine, but this truck is the heartbeat of our service vehicles and this engine has made us lotsa of $$$! The engine looks terrible after these almost 12 years of heavy use! The shroud around the muffler is held on with bailing wire, but the engine keeps on turning! Recently the battery stopped charging and we had to use the recoil and this little gem started on the first pull everytime! We have tried other engines on our other trucks but none are equal to this Honda! We are about to replace this engine, due to age, with another Honda GX390, but this old girl will stay in the garage for a back up! We have requested Hondas on our recent new pump purchases and will continue to do so, cause you just can't kill a Honda!"
