"I was given a very nice 1943 GMC CCKW for a Christmas gift and I want to be able to tow and I knew that I would need to drop it way way down since the pintle location is some 3-4 feet off the ground. Another thing that I'm pleased about is that all I could seem to find was receiver tubes for 5000lbs and that would not cut it for me but I was happy to find they had a tube rated twice that. I intentionally got the 24'' tube and used the excess to lower the tube to a more reasonable height. I must be crazy for wanting to use a 70 year old truck with a mere 90 hp for work but that is exactly what I intend to do and I'm very confident the tube can handle the 10,000 pound tractor I use for my job. Sadly though I have yet to try it out since the truck needs work and I can't drive until May anyway due to medical issues but for me it was well worth it."
