avoid this problem,
November 19, 2008
By hondafan
from coastal,CT
"It may be the ethenol in todays fuel but:
You should shut off the fuel valve & let
the engine run out of fuel each time.
I had no problems for 4 months, then
after only 5 days of no use most of the fuel tank
emptied into the crankcase. Upon starting
smoke billowed from the exhaust. I shut it
down & found the oil way over full! The oil
level should be checked before starting
every time (who does that?) After changing the
oil twice everything seems fine but I cannot
help feeling that some longevety has been lost.
CHECK YOUR OIL FIRST!!!!!

"These Honda engines are bullet proof, I have used them in many applications. I have used them old wood splitters, water pumps and made go karts for the kids. I would recomend this Honda engine to any do it your selfer, very easy to perform maintenance, excellent on fuel. I have three Honda engines my self on three different applications. These engines have never let me down, when it is time to do the job you can be sure of these motors starting. It does not matter if it is hot July day or a cold January morning. If you need an engine do your self a favor and buy a Honda engine."

Best Engine out there,

"I have used my 6.5 horse honda for 2 years on a hydraulic press application - easy starting even in very cold below zero weather. The engine always starts easy and never uses any oil. The engine is extremelly powerful providing more than adequate power for the two stage hydraulic pump on little fuel."

Honda the best,
October 30, 2007

"I have used several small engines from the Briggs & Stratton to Tecumsons
for different applications. Let me tell you nothing beats Honda engines always
start on one pull, runs smooth and are half as noisy as others. Spend the
extra cash and get a quality product.

May 20, 2007
By Allan
from East Greenwich, RI
"I had purchased this engine four months ago for my Go-Kart and it's the best engine I've ever used. This Honda has power, is really easy to start, not too loud at full throttle and is really dependable. I really haven't had any problems with this engine and I use my Go Kart almost every day since I received the engine. Would definitely recomend to anyone who wants alot of fun on their Go Kart!"

awsome engine,
November 26, 2006
By jimmydude

"We have the honda gx200 on our go-kart and it has been 5 years since we got it and it's still running like it did on the first day we ran it we had a problem with the pull start. The rope kept snapping and then we finally put in a bigger rope and it works good now and that was the only problem. Everything about then engine is perfect otherwise"
