just what I needed

"This is exactly what I needed to replace my current honda gx240 engine. The engine on my compressor went out after years of abuse before I purchased it. I put this engine on and bought the electric model so that now I dont have to fight with it in cold starts in the winter. It went on easy and was simple to setup. Now I've got a compressor that's working perfectly."

"Worth Every Penny!!! What a motor!!! Upgraded my splitter from a 5.5 hp Honda to this 8hp and can't believe the difference. Starts so easy with the key start -just barely tap it and it is running. Attached it to the Haldex 16gpm pump . It is just breezing through the wood - doesn't even strain. Very quiet and almost no vibration. Recommend highly to anyone building or upgrading a splitter."

"If you want an engine that sips Gas This is it. I have a tree business and have one on a Lift, And it will run about 6 hours on a tank of gas, I have never run out in a day so I Can't give exact amount but It is nice to not check it every hour or so. Easy to start, mine has electric choke set-up on it which makes it easy to start from up top if needed. Only thing I would change is the 3 amp charging system, honda makes a 10 amp for this motor but you will not find it even close to this price. (I wish Northern would carry it) So if 3 is good for you, go for it.
The specs sheet shows .63 oil capacity. My manual shows 1.16 US Qts. Maybe it has changed, but .63 is not much. Low oil sentry is good even though I have no idea if mine works as it uses just a touch a oil And I keep it topped off. If you order it, the Maint. kit they suggest shows a flat Air filter and Mine takes the oval one shown by itself. Northern seams to do OK stocking replacement parts, as This engine was neglected before me, and needed some attention, but only carb seals, filters, plug, And fuel lines, Bottom Line, This one has converted me from B & S Just for the fuel savings Alone."
