Wouldn't trade it for the world!,

"I purchased my Powerhorse 208 cc OHV MaXX series horizontal engine a few months ago after the one on my log splitter failed. I don't think I've ever been so happy with any one purchase as I have been with this one. It was extremely easy to install & it starts with no problem every time. It has loads of power Just wish I had purchased one sooner. I've been splitting wood for many years and this is the best of the best! Price was right too! Shipment was timely also. I can't really say enough good about it. I'm VERY pleased."

"Installed this engine on a horizontal wood splitter, to replace a 25 year old Tecumseh. This engine blows the Tecumseh away. Granted the tecumseh performed great for a long time. It was time for a new engine. Rebuilt the hydraulic cylinder and installed this motor. Not only is it quite, it is POWERFUL. On idle, the motor powers through everything we have thrown at it. On medium, it pushes so much energy to the pump, the whole splitter begins to rattle. This engine is worth the money. If it can hold up as well as I think it will, this is a great product."

"I bought a 208cc Powerhorse Engine to replace the Briggs on my 33 year old Troy Build tiller. When I read what was included on the powerhorse I was truly interested in trying it. The measurements were the same for the base and the pullys. After installing it and putting it to the test, I found that I was quite pleased with the performance and power that engine had. I do the tilling at idle speed so I can control the tiller, and at idle speed that engine doesn't even pretend to slow down. It is one great little engine."

"This engine is made by LCT (Liquid Combustion Technology) and branded as Northern Powerhorse. The LCT logo is molded into the air cleaner and also stamped into the valve cover, also LCT has a signature hexagonal valve cover and recoil mechanism. I bought my engine from Northern before they rolled out the Powerhorse brand, so in my photos the paint and labels are different even though it's the same engine.
Anyway. It's a great engine and very reliable. I'm using it on my leaf vac. I bought it to replace a Briggs I/C engine that gave me trouble since day 1 and finally threw the rod and punched it through the crankcase. I finished up the fall leaf cleanup with this engine and now am using it on the spring leaf cleanup. It starts easily, runs strong, and I think it's very well made. The LCT website has a lot of additional information on these engines. Parts are available from Stens. Also check out Parsons Racing Engines, they mildly tune these 208 cc engines to make 8.5 HP , and radically tune the 414 cc LCT engines to make 38 HP. In my opinion they have to be decent engines to get that much performance out of them."

"I bought this engine as a low cost alternative for my daughters go kart. So far we are highly impressed with it. She has spent all weekend tearing up the yard with no problems. I changed the oil after the first day, (3 tanks of gas) and it still looked new, no metal shavings. It has mounting for a throttle cable but I rigged a heavier throttle return spring as the one that came with it was pretty small. We are using a Comet heavy duty centrifugal clutch, 13t, and a 72t driven sprocket, with 13" turf saver tires. The cart has all kinds of power and fishtails on takeoff all the way up to top speed."
