I have used this stove for a while. With very few issues. Technical support is very good and they sent me a new electroncis board without any questions. The air adjustment is difficult to get right. If you change fuel brands be prepard to fool endlessly with the air adjustment to get it right. The only really bad feature is that the stove has NO ASH DRAWER meaning you have to use a vacuum every other day to clean it. This is a very untypical design for pellet stoves. Not a deal killer but be ready for extra work when cleaning.
i have been using this product now for about 2 months it replaced a traditional wood stove in our finished basement in virginia the wood stove was unpridictable this stove is very user friendly and you can control your room temp very easily.our electric bill has droped by 50% out of 25 bags of pellets is has only made about 1 gallon bucket of ash with no nasty smoke from the chimney the stove will run on medium speed for three days straight i love the ease of use the only thng i see different from the ad is that the hopper only holds about 85 pounds of fuel aside from that we love it and wish we had purchased this stove two years ago when we bought our house . the manufacturer was very helpful in aiding with my installation help and finding some of the harder to find chimney adapters it took about 45 mins. to instal and start making heat
Have purchased two Pel Pro stoves from Northern. Fireplace insert gives off good heat, have to clean out every two or three days and stoke pellets every two hours as they do not feed as they should. The hhpp2bd has to be cleaned every day and even on highest setting will hardly melt ice cubes if placed on top. Have tried different pellets with some degree of success. Both stoves appear to have same burn pot, but heat is totally different.
Before we purchased a pellet stove, we actually went to several places and checked them out. I was curious how loud the motors were, the amount of ash, amount of heat etc.... Finally deciding to order this propel stove. We received it and installed it ourselves and absolutely love this stove.....It is not to noisey, puts out plenty of heat, does have alot of ash but everyone says it is because of the pellet we are using...So we are going to try some different pellets...But we love it....besides it looks really nice as well.
I recieved the very best of service from Northern Tool , the delivery man and got a rep from the manufacture to assist setting up this stove. Fantastic Service all around ! I have recommended people from Alberta and British Columbia to buy online from Northern Tool. Who says there isn't dedicated service any more?? Fantastic product fanastic service
Auto Ignition works great, fan blows good. Kind of tricky to fine tune, not alot of heat from low setting but high will cook you out. Need to shut down to clean out ash but you can burn this thing for better than a week before you really have to. Called Pel Pro directly prior to purchase and they where great to deal with.
