"I purchased 2 of these chop saws for work and we use them every day the are much better because of the bigger moter in the machine or the increased amperage.We had an old dewalt that was a real dog you had to go real slow cutting steel or it would just stop and trip the breaker.this milwaukee has lots of power and the swivel base makes it easy to cut on angles to 45 things together,it looks real profesional when its welded on a 45 degree."

I have owned many chop saws in my shop .
I have a history of over use and abuse of all of them
some have lived for only a few months a few last several years
most have problems in the clamp/angle area
accuracy of angle and ease of adjustment on most seem to be afterthoughts.
THIS CHOP SAW IS ABLE TO TOLERATE MY USAGE
EVERY THING ABOUT IT IS IN MY OPINION IS WELL DESIGNED AND IS A PLEASURE TO USE (AND ABUSE)
THIS IS NOT A TOY AND WILL HOLD UP TO EVERY DAY USE FOR MANY YEARS

"Wonderful easy to use saw. I use it all the time to do fabrication cutting. I did have to put in 30A dedicated plugs in the shop, but it was worth it. For a saw of this size and not being used commercially it is one of the best values out there. Its easy to use and change blades, if it dies in my life time I would definitely buy another one."

"I purchased this saw about Jan 2007. It has been a good tool with plenty of power and ease of operation. I really like the convience of not having to use any tools to change the angle of the cut or the abrasive wheel. The one thing that really frustrates me is that the work piece clamp sticks in the fully closed position and will not slide open. If you use the clamp screw to open the clamp it pops the snap ring off the end of the screw. I have to wiggle and pull back on the clamp to open it. I try to remember not to slide the clamp fully closed. This would be an excellent saw except for the work problem."
